What is regenerative agriculture?
Regenerative agriculture goes beyond organic certification to rebuild soil fertility and promote biodiversity in the garden. We use intercropping, companion planting, compost, crop rotation, no-till and permaculture methods, and more to eliminate the use of all pesticides and herbicides that affect soil health and ecosystem balance. We do not seek to eliminate pests, but to attract beneficial and predatory insects to balance the ecosystem which naturally controls pest populations.
We use zero chemicals that could harm pests (vs. certified organic that has an allowed list of chemical options). Our philosophy is if it is safe for a bug to eat, it is safe for us to eat. We just cut off the worm-sampled bit and enjoy the rest. So you may find a hole or two in your greens or an occasional worm in your cucumbers, but you can trust that it's proof your food is 100% pesticide-free. If your surprise guest ate too much, let us know and we'd be happy to replace the veggie in your next order.
